Adage
Gigondas
A piece of lacework
An outstanding terroir on the foothills of the Dentelles de Montmirail, set amid pine groves and garrigue scrubland, give this cuvée a complexity and a frame that are revealed by slow-paced maturation.
Grape varieties
Grenache (70%), Syrah (25%) and Mourvèdre (5%).
Located in the Vallon de l’Oligocène (a small valley named after the epoch it dates from), on the steep slopes of the Dentelles de Montmirail, this terroir has red marl soils with outcrops of limestone and gypsum. Our terraced plots enjoy a specific microclimate that helps to ripen our grape varieties.
Vinification
This wine combines an elegant tannic frame with aromas of spice and wild garrigue scrubland. Aging in concrete vats imparts finesse. The wine reaches maturity after 3-5 years in bottle, but can be cellared for 10 years or more.
Food pairing
We recommend it with all sauced meat dishes, game and cheese.
